Biography

Born and brought up in Belfast (1959) where I studied photography at The College of Art & Design. My first commission, at the age of 18 was to cover Pope John Paul II's visit to Ireland. After completing my studies I moved to London where I began my career in one of the world’s most photogenic cities. Over the years (more than I like to be reminded of) I have accumulated a vast knowledge of all aspects of photography, technical expertise acquired whilst working for Konica/Minolta for 18 years and thereafter as an independent photographer working through and adapting to the changes from analogue to digital photography. Since then I've lived and worked all over the place producing a huge variety of images and eventually settling, in the South West of France.
